Birdcage is a stunning and serene riad tucked away in the heart of Marrakesh’s lively medina. Just steps from the vibrancy of the souks, it is the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day exploring the city.
The riad has been restored with such love and attention to detail, and you can see the care that’s gone into every corner. It’s a truly special place, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh!
I had the most magical time celebrating my birthday at this stunning riad in the heart of Marrakesh’s old medina. The space is beautifully restored and thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Vibrant greenery fills the riad, adding to its charm and tranquility.

I stayed at the Birdcage with my family just before Christmas and it was the most perfect place to escape to for some winter sun and a total change of scene. The location is amazing, right in the medina but so peaceful too - you can hear the birds singing. The riad itself is exquisitely decorated, gorgeous planting and a dreamy plunge pool. it’s like staying in your own little palace. There are so many magical places to visit within walking distance. But the best but was coming ‘home’ to a glass of wine and a game of Backgammon under the stars on the roof terrace, and having a delicious, healthy breakfast made for us each morning.
